Summary

  • Adds SECURITY.md. The repository security tab already offers Report a vulnerability, and the policy had no instructions behind that button.
  • Reporters use https://github.com/openframeworks/projectGenerator/security/advisories/new. Email to of at openFrameworks .cc is the fallback, with the same obfuscation as the openFrameworks policy.
  • Scope is the command line tool, the desktop app, the scripts in this repo, and the release packages. openFrameworks core issues go to the openFrameworks security policy.
  • Reports should be against master or the nightly release. Fixes land on master and ship in nightly.

The matching openFrameworks change is openframeworks/openFrameworks#8644.

Test

Docs only. Confirmed master has no SECURITY.md, and the public security tab already links to the private report form.

Point reporters at the projectGenerator security advisory form, and
keep of@openframeworks.cc as the fallback contact.
