AIFi is an agent-first investment research workspace. It uses small, reusable AI
skills to collect filings, earnings, news, market signals, competitors, and risk
evidence, then saves the work under research/ so future analysis can reuse it.
It is for research and decision support, not autonomous trading or financial advice.
The local Web and Electron apps share one React interface. The first version uses a real cached stock directory and collected research data. Desktop Chat supports ChatGPT-plan text inference; broker connections and background agents come later.
Stocks opens with a searchable Nasdaq Trader directory and six research tabs. The list loads more on scroll; available company logos are cached on the device. Chart/financial examples are marked as samples; holdings, trades, ratings, and news have empty structures until data is connected. Existing chats remain available inside Chat.
Requires Node.js 24+, Go 1.26.1+ and pnpm 10.13.1.
pnpm install
pnpm dev # Web: http://127.0.0.1:5173
pnpm dev:desktop # Electron + local Web server; use instead of pnpm devpnpm build
pnpm desktop # Run the built desktop app
make ciIn the desktop app, open Settings → ChatGPT → Continue with ChatGPT to connect an eligible ChatGPT plan, then choose a model and send a message in Chat. No API key, client secret or OpenAI console app is needed. Browser-only Web does not yet support this connection. Chat has no attached market-data tools; responses are drafts. See connection setup and limits.
The first desktop launch downloads the Electron runtime. See frontend development, architecture, and the shared design system.
The first live collector downloads Nasdaq Trader's official security directory into a local SQLite store. It needs Go 1.26.1+ and no API key. App launch starts the Go sidecar. Settings manages source enablement, sync frequency, manual requests and locally encrypted credentials; charts remain samples.
