Allow explicit parameter and return lists in function types #403

Using tuple types to group parameters and returns adds extra type documents, even for an empty parameter list.

Could contains.parameters and contains.returns also accept arrays of type wrappers? Empty lists would simply be []. A tuple-valued parameter would remain one list element, distinct from multiple parameters, and component types could still be referenced by ID.
