Prepare SPINE v1.4.0 from the configuration harmonization and calibration changes merged in #177, #178, and #179.
Bump the package version and document ordered pipelines, named-list edits, canonical provider descriptors, deferred-operation fixes, and calibration around deghosting. The migration notes explicitly cover removed YAML args/kwargs, strict descriptor validation, source-local missing-target policies, and separately prepared spine-prod changes.
This uses a minor version following the repository's existing release practice. It contains configuration compatibility changes; strict semantic versioning would instead require a major release. The version remains reviewable before tagging or publishing.
