examples: reject MSC block sizes FatFS cannot hold in disk_initialize - #4451
msc_file_explorer overruns FatFS's 512-byte sector buffers on drives with larger blocks
Example-only, host role. Both msc_file_explorer examples build FatFS with FF_MIN_SS == FF_MAX_SS == 512, so FatFS never calls disk_ioctl(GET_SECTOR_SIZE), yet disk_read()/disk_write() pass its sector count to tuh_msc_read10()/tuh_msc_write10(), which size the transfer by the block size from READ CAPACITY. A drive reporting 4096-byte blocks (a 4K-sector disk, or a malicious device) gets a 4096-byte data stage into the 512-byte fs->win on the first read of f_mount(), so 3.5 KiB of device data lands over the other fatfs[] slots and past the array, and a later write sends 4096 bytes from that window to the device. Reproduced on master (8692556) in a host build with the real msc_host.c, the example's msc_app.c and FatFS R0.16, only usbh replaced by a fake BOT device: ASan global-buffer-overflow WRITE past fatfs under f_mount() from inquiry_complete_cb(), and READ under f_write().
disk_initialize() now refuses a block size outside FF_MIN_SS..FF_MAX_SS, so the mount stops with FR_NOT_READY before any sector I/O; with a variable sector size FatFS already checks that range itself. dd and the "Disk Size" line also divided by a quotient of the block size that is zero for a block size of 0, above 4096 (dd) or above 1 MiB (the size line): dd now refuses such a size and the size line computes (block_count * block_size) >> 20, also in both cdc_msc_hid examples. A 512-byte device mounts, lists, writes and runs dd with output identical to master. The four examples build on stm32f407disco (+64 bytes flash for the file explorers, RAM unchanged). No unit test, as these are example sources outside Ceedling; not run on hardware.
msc_file_explorer builds FatFS with FF_MIN_SS == FF_MAX_SS == 512, so
FatFS never asks disk_ioctl(GET_SECTOR_SIZE) and moves whole 512-byte
sectors through fs->win and the caller's buffer. disk_read() and
disk_write() pass the sector count to tuh_msc_read10() and
tuh_msc_write10(), which size the transfer by the block size the device
reported in READ CAPACITY. A device with 4096-byte blocks gets a
4096-byte data stage into the 512-byte fs->win on the first read of
f_mount(), and is sent 4096 bytes from it on a write.
Fail disk_initialize() for a block size outside FF_MIN_SS..FF_MAX_SS so
the mount stops before any sector I/O. dd and the "Disk Size" line
divided by the same value: dd now refuses a block size it cannot fit in
rw_buf, and the size is computed without the division, also in
cdc_msc_hid.
The MSC examples now calculate displayed megabytes from the 64-bit product of block count and block size. The file explorer examples also return STA_NOINIT when the sector size is outside the supported range. Their dd commands stop when the block size is zero or exceeds the read/write buffer.
Merge Risk: Low · up to 5e15f
The changes prevent unsupported-sector transfers, but exceptionally large reported capacities can display incorrectly. This bounded display issue does not block merging; regression coverage would help protect the new safeguards.

Add an oversized-sector regression test.
For both file-explorer examples, test that a 4096-byte device returns STA_NOINIT and that mounting starts no FatFs sector I/O. The existing hardware tests do not check this rejection.
